Wow, life has gotten busy!
Somewhere between wild rides and diaper duty I grew up.
Gone are the days of snickering down my nose at all of the people I thought piled on excuses for not reading, not blogging, not leading, not teaching.
Cultivating a marriage, owning a home and raising a child are tough work. In my naivety I somehow thought that my personal activities wouldn’t change that much and that my interests wouldn’t shift. They have. Though I’m still interested in the same basic stuff – reading, blogging, theology – my priorities have altered.
You may have noticed, as a result, that it has been quiet around here lately. I’ve struggled with keeping this blog current and regular over the past two years and I feel I’m hitting an apex. But if it sounds like I’m giving up, not so fast!
I’m taking Covenant of Love in a new direction. But don’t worry. If you’ve enjoyed the basic content and interests of this blog you may enjoy the new direction I’m taking it in too.
I’ve been working hard on a new project which I hope to launch some time in mid to late July. I don’t want to tell you much about it yet (consider this a teaser before the teaser), but here’s a hint:
Closer to the launch date I’ll explain why I feel this is the right direction for this blog. In the meantime I would like to ask three things from you.
* that you would hang in there while I prepare to make my launch.
I’m going for “intermediate professionalism” with this new program. So it will take some time to get things set up. You might notice some changes here at Covenant of Love in terms of branding, but I think you’ll enjoy the new content I am working hard to bring you.
* I need your help.
I’m not going to sugar coat it. I need your help and support. In a few weeks I’ll be launching a trailer promoting the launch of my new project. Here’s what I’m asking: if you like the trailer then share it with your circle of friends – Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and so on.
* I need more of your help.
Right now you won’t understand what I’m asking (until you see the trailer). But to put the bug in your ear, here it is: I need your ideas (credit will be given). The followers of this site share my general interest, which means that your ideas will coincide with my project and may become the credited basis for future episodes.
So enough with the asking already. Soon I’ll be giving and giving and giving and I hope you’ll enjoy what I have for you. I really do.
