What we talk about when we talk about God Review

Trevin Wax reviews Rob Bell’s book that comes out today. His review is titled, What We Talk About When We Talk About Rob Bell. Clever. From the review it sounds like Bell’s book is to a great extent similar to the book Myth of Certainty  and Questions to all your Answers.

Thanks for the link – an interesting review. Although even reading his arguments against Bell, I found the quotes from Bell more convincing, haha. Think I’ll probably skip on this book of Bell’s though – his writing is just not my style, and the guy is so ridiculously postmodern, I feel like I’m kind of post-postmodern… was “emerging” but now have “emerged” – I think books like these are tremendously helpful for a lot of people, but are a step backwards for people like me.

I found that too, that Wax’s critique seemed not as crisp as I’m used to from him. I probably will muscle my way through the book and review it so guys like you don’t have to! :)

I’m reading it now on my iPad. Wax’s review is a waste of time. The book is stylistically annoying (to me) — like his other books. But, I’m not in Rob’s target audience. I think he is really trying to reach spiritual seekers outside the church.
